ETBX Modules

Open a New Module

You can open a new ETBX module by issuing a New command from either the module toolbar or the File menu.

To open a new module, click the New Module button on the toolbar or choose the File -> New menu item. After issuing the New command, an expandable list of available analysis packages and modules is displayed on the screen. The contents of the list are the same as in the ETBX Start Menu.

To open a new module, double-click on the module name in the list or select the module name and click the Open Module button. There is no limit to the number of open modules in an ETBX module window. Initializing a new module will not affect any open modules.

Open a Saved Module

You can open an ETBX module that was previously saved by issuing an Open command from either the module toolbar or the File menu.

To open a saved module, click the Open Module button on the toolbar or choose the File -> Open menu item. A standard File Open dialog box is displayed. Select the name of the file you want to open and click the Open button. By default, the File Open dialog box only lists files with the .etbx file extension. To view other files, click on the Files of type list and select All Files.

There is no limit to the number of open modules in an ETBX module window. Opening a saved module will not affect existing modules that are active in the module window.

Save a Module

You can save an ETBX module that by issuing a Save command from either the module toolbar or the File menu.

To save the active module, click the Save Module button on the toolbar or choose the File -> Save menu item. When you save a module for the first time, a standard File Save dialog box is displayed. Specify the file name and indicate where you want to store the file. ETBX will automatically append a .etbx extension to the file name if no extension is given. Click the Save button to write the file to the specified location.

Each time you subsequently save the module, ETBX updates the file with your latest changes.

 

Save a Copy of a Module

To save a copy of the active module, choose the File -> Save As menu item. Specify the file name and location in the File Save dialog box. ETBX will automatically append a .etbx extension to the file name if no extension is given. Click the Save button to write the file to the specified location.

Close a Module

You can close an ETBX module by issuing a Close command from either the module toolbar or the File menu.

To close the active module, click the Close Panel button on the toolbar when the module's title panel is displayed; or choose the File -> Close menu item. ETBX will prompt you to save the module before closing. Click the Yes button to save the module. Click No to close the module without saving. Click Cancel to cancel the Close command.
