Modifying Plot Data

ETBX makes it easy to create new data series, re-order existing data series, manipulate data values, and remove data series from a plot. The Source Data dialog box provides controls for managing plot data.

To open the Source Data dialog box using the menubar, choose the Plot -> Source Data menu item. To open the dialog box using a context menu, right-click anywhere in the plot area and choose the Source Data menu item.

The Source Data dialog box provides a list of all data series in the plot. To change the position of a series in the plot order, select the series and click the Move Up or Move Down button. To rename an existing series, select the series and type a new name in the Name field. To add a new series, click the Add button. To remove a data series, click the Remove button. To edit data values in an existing series, click the Edit button.

Click the OK button to accept your changes and close the dialog. Choose the Cancel button to cancel your edits.

Adding And Editing Data Series

When you choose either the Add or Edit option, a Series Data dialog is displayed on the screen. If you are editing an existing series, data point X and Y values for the selected series are shown in the input box.

Each line of data represents a single data point. On each line, enter numeric X and Y values separated by a tab, space, or comma. Click the OK button to accept your inputs. An error message will be displayed if you try to accept invalid data.
