| ETBX Plots |
The Plot Toolbar Each ETBX plot panel has a toolbar that appears above the plot area. The plot toolbar contains controls that allow you to perform common functions quickly, such as zooming in and out. Many tools in the toolbar are context-sensitive and therefore may not be active under various circumstances. For example, the Delete tool is not available unless a data series is selected. Inactive tools are displayed in a ghosted state to let you know that they cannot be selected.
A description of each button in the plot toolbar is provided below.
The Copy To Clipboard button creates a graphics image from the plot panel and saves it to the system clipboard. This feature allows you to paste ETBX plot graphics into your favorite word processor, graphics program, etc.
The Source Data button opens the Source Data dialog box, which allows you to add new data series, edit, rename, or remove an existing data series, or adjust the series order. See the section titled Modifying Plot Data for more details.
The Export Data Series button opens the data series export window, which displays the X-Y value pairs of all data series. Using the text editor, you can print the data values, or cut and paste the data into another program using your computer's system clipboard.
The Delete button permanently removes the selected data series from the plot. This button is inactive if no data series is selected.
The Cursor button places the plot area in cursor mode. In cursor mode, the plot coordinates of the mouse pointer are displayed in the panel status bar.
The Zoom button places the plot area in zoom mode. To zoom in, press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to draw a box around the area that you want shown in the plot. Release the left mouse button and the plot is redrawn to match the area in the zoom box.
The Select button places the plot area in select mode. Click on any data series to select it. A selected data series will be displayed with light gray rectangles drawn around each data point. Double-clicking on a data series will open the Data Format window, which allows you to modify the data series' display properties.
The Zoom In button increases the magnification of the plotted data by reducing the scale of both the X and Y plot axes.
The Zoom Out button reduces the magnification of the plotted data by increasing the scale of both the X and Y plot axes.
The Fit button causes the plot to be scaled and redrawn so that all displayed data series fit entirely within the plot area.
The Clear button permanently removes all data series from the plot. |
