Formatting

ETBX spreadsheets provides several options for changing the display of the information in the cells. You can modify the cell width and height, set the text font and color, align text within cells, and more.

Setting The Column Width And Row Height

If a cell value is too long to fit within the cell, the value displayed in the cell will be truncated. Increase the column width to view the entire value in the cell.

To change the width of selected columns, type a value into the Column Width edit box. To open the Column Width edit box, select one or more columns and choose the Edit -> Column Width menu item.

To change the height of selected rows, type a value into the Row Height edit box. To open the Row Height edit box, select one or more rows and choose the Edit -> Row Height menu item.

 

Setting The Cell Font And Foreground Color

To change the font used to display information in a cell, select the cells that you want to change and choose a font type from the Font drop-down list in the spreadsheet toolbar. To show the selected font in bold type, select the Bold button . For italic type, select the Italic button . For underlined text, select the underline button .

To change the font color, click the Font Color button in the spreadsheet toolbar. Select a new color from the Color dialog box to update the cell.

 

Setting The Cell Text Alignment

To change the alignment of text within a cell, select the cells you want to change and click the appropriate alignment button on the spreadsheet toolbar. The Left button aligns text on the left side of the cell. The Center button centers text in a cell. The Right button aligns text on the right side of the cell.
